A thread on the social network Threads has gained popularity, with users sharing stories about their unusual professions and specializations. The discussion was started by Anuar Shaimergenov, who introduced himself as a kinetic sculptor — he creates exclusively mechanical moving installations, sculptures, tables, and other objects. The post garnered nearly 610,000 views, and in the comments, people began sharing occupations that most might never have heard of, according to infohub.kz.

One participant said she creates metaphorical cards — special sets of images used in psychological practice, coaching, and for working with various requests.

Another user practices calligraphy and hand lettering. According to her, thanks to her beautiful handwriting, she received orders from major brands and organizations, including Max Mara, The Ritz-Carlton, Chanel, Dior, Tod’s, YSL, BMW, and others.

The thread also featured jewelry that looks more like miniature art objects. Its creator calls himself a maker of mechanical jewelry.

Another participant said she prepares food for people with diabetes and those who monitor their insulin levels. According to her, the products contain no flour, and a natural sweetener is used instead of regular sugar. She also emphasizes the high protein content.

In the comments, a sculptor specializing in bas-reliefs was also introduced. His works include three-dimensional images and decorative elements.

Another unusual option is a political anthropologist. A participant said she studies power, myths, symbols, and rituals in ancient texts in their original languages. For her work, she studies, in particular, Ancient Greek, Latin, Akkadian, and Biblical Hebrew.

At first glance, a pediatrician is a fairly common profession. However, one participant noted that in the country where he lives, this specialization is considered so niche that there are only about 300 such specialists in the entire country.

Among the discussion participants were also a master who makes family casts, a thanatopracticer-necromancer, a veterinary pathomorphologist, a screenwriter, and so on.

In the comments, users admitted that after reading the thread, they began to feel like they had "ordinary professions."

"I read the feed, everyone is so cool, I just want to write: 'And I have reed'"

"Lord, you are all so awesome!"

"Comrades, how do you get into this niche?" users write.

Earlier, Kursiv wrote that Kazakhstan is testing a new model for training specialists that combines artificial intelligence technologies with professional knowledge. According to the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, one of the first was the AI+X program, launched at Maqsut Narikbayev University (MNU).
