Legendary American boxer Mike Tyson is the subject of a new Netflix documentary series. Titled "Tyson," the project is set to premiere on October 13, according to infohub.kz.
The series will consist of four episodes. According to its creators, viewers will get an uncensored look at the legendary athlete's entire life.
The filmmakers promise a story about Tyson's difficult journey: growing up in a dangerous part of Brooklyn; becoming the youngest world heavyweight champion at age 20 and achieving global fame; his prison sentence, struggles with addiction, and headline-making scandals, including the infamous ear bite on Evander Holyfield.
In the trailer, Tyson himself admits candidly that he lived in chaos for years and grew accustomed to it.
Alongside archival footage and Tyson's own accounts, the film features those closest to him — his wife Lakiha Spicer and his son Miguel. They describe what Tyson is like in everyday life, away from the ring and the cameras.
The series promises to be deeply personal and candid. All four episodes will be available on Netflix simultaneously on premiere day.
