A new akim has been appointed in the city of Tekeli, Zhetysu region. He is 44-year-old Aidos Beketaev, who previously headed the regional Department of Energy and Housing and Utilities, reports the website infohub.kz.

According to the official website of the regional akimat, in coordination with the Presidential Administration and deputies of the city maslikhat, 44-year-old Aidos Beketaev has been appointed as the akim of Tekeli. The new head was introduced to the city's activists by the regional governor, Beibit Isabaev.

The regional governor also expressed gratitude to Almas Adil, who served as akim of Tekeli for four years and was relieved of his post due to a transfer to another job, for his contribution to the city's socio-economic development.

Aidos Beketaev was born in 1982. He has higher education. He graduated from Turan University, Zhetysu State University named after Zhanzugurov, and East Kazakhstan Technical University named after Serikbaev, with degrees in finance, state and local administration, and a master's in engineering and technology.

He began his career as a manager at LLP "Ersak" in Almaty. He has been in civil service since 2010. Over the years, he held positions of chief specialist of the improvement department, head of the communal services department of the akim's office, and deputy akim of the Turksib district of Almaty.

From October 2023 until this appointment, he was the head of the Department of Energy and Housing and Utilities of the Zhetysu region.
