A new deputy akim has been appointed in the East Kazakhstan region. Renat Kurmambayev, who previously served as akim of the Altai district, has taken the post, reports infohub.kz.
According to the regional akimat, Renat Tleukhanovich will oversee agriculture, veterinary medicine, land relations, and natural resource management.
Renat Kurmambayev was born on January 25, 1980, in the village of Novo-Berezovka, Bolshenarymsky district. In 1998, he graduated from the East Kazakhstan Humanitarian College with a degree in "Teaching Labor," in 2001 from the East Kazakhstan State University with a degree in "Professional Training in Mechanization of Agricultural Production," and in 2006 from the Kazakh-American Free University with a degree in "Law."
He began his career in civil service in 2003 as a chief specialist for youth affairs at the Katon-Karagay district department of culture. In 2005, he worked as a chief specialist in the department of internal policy, culture, and language development of the Katon-Karagay district. From 2005 to 2008, he held the position of head of the personnel and state-legal work department of the akim's office in the Katon-Karagay district.
In 2008-2009, he headed the organizational and personnel department of the akim's office in the Katon-Karagay district. From 2009 to 2011, he worked as a chief inspector in the organizational and inspection department of the akim's office in East Kazakhstan.
Over the years, he has held positions as akim of the Katon-Karagay and Ulan districts, deputy head of the akim's office in the East Kazakhstan region, and deputy akim of the Altai district. Since November 2023, he has been serving as akim of the Altai district.
