A new House of Culture with 200 seats has opened in the village of Zhibek Zholy, Karasai District, Almaty Region. The construction cost 658 million tenge, reports infohub.kz.
The new building features an auditorium, a stage, and rooms for creative activities. It will host concerts and theatrical performances, as well as clubs for dombra, zhyrtau, vocals, dance, and applied arts.
In addition, a mentoring center "Shezhire" for akyns and an ensemble for the older generation will be established at the House of Culture. The venue is expected to become a place for children and youth activities and the preservation of national traditions.
Over the past four years, 52.6 billion tenge have been allocated for the development of cultural infrastructure in the Almaty Region. During this time, 10 new cultural facilities have been built and 19 more Houses of Culture have been renovated.
Work continues. Houses of Culture are being built in the villages of Kargaly (Zhanbyl District) and Boraldai (Ili District). This year, construction was also completed in the village of Shien, Zhanbyl District.
