The fifth-generation Hyundai Tucson crossover has been caught on camera for the first time on South Korean roads, completely free of camouflage. Judging by the published footage, the new model is noticeably larger than its predecessor and features a radically new design, reports infohub.kz.
The video of the new Tucson was published by the authors of the YouTube channel ShortsCar. The footage shows the car in a more affordable trim than the one showcased in Hyundai's official images, as indicated by the design of the wheel rims and equipment.
The main change is a completely new exterior in the signature Art of Steel style. The fifth generation differs from its predecessor not only in design but also in increased dimensions.
The crossover's length has reached 4700 mm, which is 60 mm more than before. The wheelbase has grown by 30 mm to 2785 mm. The width has increased by 40 mm to 1905 mm, and the height by 20 mm to 1685 mm.
Thanks to the increased dimensions, Hyundai promises more interior space. In particular, second-row passengers get an additional 29 mm of headroom.
Hyundai has not yet revealed the technical specifications of the new Tucson. It is unknown which engines and hybrid systems the crossover will get in different markets.
More details are expected during the official premiere, which is tentatively scheduled for the third quarter of 2026.
