The Sun continues to show heightened activity, with scientists recording numerous plasma ejections into space. According to data from the Solar Astronomy Laboratory of the Space Research Institute (IKI), the Sun is releasing energy from its left (eastern) limb, indicating that the sources of the explosions are located beyond the edge, on the far side of the Sun. These regions are not yet hidden from Earth-based observation, but the European spacecraft Solar Orbiter, currently on the near-Earth side of its orbit, cannot provide additional information, reports infohub.kz.

Scientists note that from the current position, solar material is not yet capable of reaching Earth. For risks to the planet to materialize, the activity must persist for another 4–5 days. During this time, the hidden active regions responsible for the explosions would need to appear on the visible side of the Sun and approach the Sun-Earth line.

A preliminary picture of the situation can be obtained in 1–2 days, when the sunspots that are presumably beyond the limb cross the horizon and become visible. This will allow specialists to assess their size and potential energy reserves.
