A resident of Astana has been held administratively liable for setting off fireworks at night near his home, reports infohub.kz.

According to the press service of the Astana courts, on September 4, the Specialized Interdistrict Court for Administrative Offenses of Astana considered a case against citizen S. under Part 1 of Article 434 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (petty hooliganism).

According to case materials, on September 4, 2026, at about 00:03, citizen S., being in a public place near a residential building, launched pyrotechnic devices several times, creating strong sound and light effects. By his actions, he violated public order and the peace of citizens, showing disrespect for those around him.

During the court hearing, S. fully admitted his guilt and repented of his actions. The circumstances of the offense were confirmed by video recording of the incident.

The sanction of Part 1 of Article 434 of the Administrative Code provides for a fine of 20 MCI (86,500 tenge), community service for 20 to 60 hours, or administrative arrest for 5 to 10 days.

Taking into account the nature of the offense and its focus on violating public order, the court imposed an administrative penalty of five days of administrative arrest on S. The ruling has not yet entered into legal force.
