Targeted checks to identify minors out at night without adult supervision have been conducted in several regions of Kazakhstan, reports infohub.kz.

According to the media portal of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, police conducted night raids in Astana, Shymkent, and the Abai region over two days to prevent unlawful acts by teenagers and against them.

"The main focus was on identifying children out at night without adult supervision. Over 480 parents who failed to ensure control over their children's whereabouts at night have been held accountable," the ministry said.

Another key goal was to prevent the sale of alcohol and tobacco products to minors. For this violation, 28 entrepreneurs have been held accountable.

The Ministry assured that police will continue to conduct regular targeted operations and take all necessary measures to protect children's rights.
