More than 500 television industry professionals selected their favorite series of the 21st century, and 'Breaking Bad' was named the best. The top 100 included 'Game of Thrones,' 'Chernobyl,' 'The Office,' 'House M.D.' and other cult TV shows, according to infohub.kz.

To compile the ranking, The New York Times surveyed more than 500 actors, showrunners, writers, producers and other television industry representatives. Each participant could name up to ten series.

Among those who voted were Bryan Cranston, Elisabeth Moss, Adam Scott, Rose Byrne, Colman Domingo and Jason Bateman. Showrunners Damon Lindelof ('Lost'), Lena Dunham ('Girls'), Lena Waithe ('Dear White People') and Noah Hawley ('Fargo') also submitted their choices.

'Breaking Bad' was named the best series of the 21st century. The plot centers on high school chemistry teacher Walter White, who, after a dire diagnosis, decides to manufacture drugs to provide for his family. Together with his former student Jesse Pinkman, he gradually descends into the criminal underworld, and his new life increasingly transforms Walter himself.

Following 'Breaking Bad' were 'The Wire,' 'Mad Men' and 'Succession.' The top ten included:

The top 100 included 'The Office' (11th place), 'Chernobyl' (19th), 'Black Mirror' (26th), 'Better Call Saul' (27th), 'Severance' (30th), 'True Detective' (35th), 'Peaky Blinders' (43rd), 'Stranger Things' (53rd), 'Squid Game' (72nd), 'The Bear' (74th), 'Ted Lasso' (75th), 'Dexter' (88th), 'Baby Reindeer' (89th) and 'House M.D.' (95th).

The list included not only scripted dramas and comedies but also documentaries and reality shows. Only series and shows that premiered no earlier than January 1, 2000, were considered.

Earlier, Kursiv LifeStyle reported that Apple plans to launch a separate subscription in Kazakhstan. The new version of iCloud+ will combine cloud storage, the Apple TV online cinema and the Apple Arcade gaming service. The basic 50 GB plan will cost 499 tenge per month and provide access to series, movies and games at no additional charge.
