FC Okzhetpes from Kokshetau defeated FC Zhetysu from Taldykorgan 2-0 in Round 18 of the Kazakhstan Premier League, reports infohub.kz.

The match took place at Okzhetpes Stadium in Kokshetau and ended in a home victory. The opening goal came in the 22nd minute of the first half: Belarusian midfielder Dmitry Borodin converted a penalty. In second-half stoppage time, substitute Kazakh striker Tokhtar Zhangylyshbay doubled Okzhetpes' lead. The goal was scored while the visitors were down to ten men after Serbian midfielder Marko Živanović received a second yellow card and was sent off in the 75th minute.

The win lifted Okzhetpes to 30 points and third place in the KPL standings. Zhetysu remain in 11th place with 18 points.
