An 18-year-old BMW driver has been held accountable for dangerous maneuvers and gross traffic violations in Oral, the website infohub.kz reports.
According to the information and media portal of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, police officers spotted a video on social media in which a BMW driver was grossly violating traffic rules and performing dangerous maneuvers. The post also drew criticism from users.
The video shows the driver at high speed overtaking several cars in a row, passing some on the left and others on the right. A check identified the driver as an 18-year-old resident of the West Kazakhstan Region.
A further check using the video surveillance system established that within 15 minutes the driver repeatedly violated traffic rules on Abulkhair Khan Avenue and Sholokhov Street in Oral. In these areas with heavy traffic, he performed maneuvers that posed a threat to other drivers.
The driver was given a preventive explanatory talk. He was held accountable for the violations identified.
