A man in Oral has been sentenced to 20 days of administrative arrest for twice violating a protective order issued to ensure his own mother's safety, reports infohub.kz.

According to the press service of the West Kazakhstan Regional Court, the case was heard by the specialized administrative offenses court in Oral. A protective order had previously been issued against the man, intended to shield the woman from unlawful actions and prevent potential offenses.

However, the man failed to comply with the requirements. "While intoxicated, he twice came to the apartment his mother rented separately from him, knocked on the door, and demanded to be let in, ignoring warnings. In court, the man admitted his guilt and explained that he was intoxicated at the time of the incident," the court said.

His guilt was confirmed by the victim's statements, a copy of the protective order, administrative offense protocols, and other case materials.

The court found the man guilty of violating the protective order and sentenced him to 20 days of administrative arrest. The court's ruling has not yet entered into legal force.
