Shymkent's Ordabasy defeated Semey's Yelimay at home in the 18th round of the Kazakhstan Premier League, according to infohub.kz.

The match was played at Kazhymukan Munaitpasov Stadium in Shymkent. The final score was 2-1 in favor of the hosts.

The first goal came in the 7th minute, scored by Ordabasy's Norwegian striker Bjorn Johnsen. Five minutes later, Yelimay equalized through Togolese forward Fessou Plakka. Shortly before halftime, Cameroonian defender Guy-Marcelin Kilama put the hosts ahead again. In the second half, on the 60th minute, Kazakh forward Elkhan Astanov converted a penalty to extend the lead.

The win lifted Ordabasy to 43 points and top of the KPL standings, displacing Almaty's Kairat. Yelimay remains seventh with 26 points.
