Artificial intelligence will help Kazakhs save faster for a mortgage down payment and assess borrowers' potential, reports infohub.kz.
Lyazzat Ibragimova, Chairperson of the Management Board of Otbasy Bank, said in the Taldau Talks podcast that the financial institution has great potential for implementing AI. Basic services are already in use, including a legal AI agent.
"But there is a huge potential in terms of behavioral finance. That is, how to make a person save faster, because the more and longer they save, the cheaper their interest rate will be later. Using AI to more effectively assess the prospects of this borrower. We are now introducing AI elements into housing distribution to eliminate the human factor," Ibragimova noted.
The scoring model already includes AI components, according to the bank's head.
Earlier, Kursiv reported that Ibragimova called 2027 a turning point for the mortgage market in Kazakhstan.
