American rapper Sean Combs, known as P. Diddy, reportedly suffered a head injury in a fight at the federal prison Fort Dix, from where he was taken away by ambulance the day before, according to infohub.kz.
As reported by NUR.KZ citing RIA Novosti, the agency cites a translation of a short piece from the tabloid TMZ. It says the musician was injured during a conflict with Jamaican drug lord Christopher Coke.
The scuffle, according to the report, occurred due to inmates' dissatisfaction with searches and confiscation of phones after publications about the rapper's privileged conditions of detention.
Earlier it was reported that Combs, serving his sentence at the federal prison FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey, was taken away by ambulance early Saturday morning, October 10.
Later, a source familiar with the situation confirmed that P. Diddy was hospitalized.
According to the source, Combs suffered a head injury — it does not pose a threat to life. It is also reported that the same day the rapper was returned to the correctional facility and placed in solitary confinement.
