Italy goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma was struck in the face with brass knuckles and threatened with a knife during a robbery in Paris, while his pregnant girlfriend was dragged by the hair, reports infohub.kz.
Details of the attack on former Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma and his girlfriend emerged during hearings at a Paris criminal court, according to RBC Sport, citing a translation of a report by The Telegraph.
In the summer of 2023, the footballer, then playing for PSG, and his girlfriend, now his wife Alessia Elefante (pregnant at the time), were woken by robbers who burst into their apartment on Avenue Montaigne in the French capital.
According to Donnarumma's testimony, he was hit in the face with brass knuckles and threatened with a knife. Elefante said the attackers demanded the safe code, but she told them she did not know it and that the safe was empty anyway.
"They got angry, thinking I was lying. They dragged me by the hair, and one of them hit me on the thighs. I said I was pregnant, but they didn't stop," she said.
Donnarumma did eventually give the code, but as Elefante had said, the safe turned out to be empty.
