A video of an incident at a medical facility in Kostanay is circulating on social media. In the footage, a man can be heard insulting a female employee and threatening physical violence, vowing to "kill" her and "blow her head off," reports Orda.kz.
The employee said on social media that the conflict began after she asked the patient to come during a different shift. The man initially agreed, but when he arrived for his dialysis treatment, he started yelling, using profanity, and accusing her of bias. According to the woman, she and her colleagues regularly face aggression from patients.
"Death threats are not part of the job. Insults are not part of the job. Humiliation of a healthcare worker is not part of the job," she wrote in her post.
The outlet found that the incident occurred at the Kostanay branch of the dialysis center "Bios." Representatives of the center declined to comment. "At the moment, no comment," the center's director responded.
The Kostanay Regional Police Department said no official complaints have been filed regarding the incident. The city health department noted that it cannot intervene because the medical organization is private. "The medical organization is a private entity and is not under the jurisdiction of the Health Department of the Kostanay Regional Akimat," the state body explained.
Earlier reports indicated that in the North Kazakhstan Region, a pregnant teacher was sentenced to two years in prison for insulting a nation and inciting ethnic hatred.
