Police in Almaty are searching for two patients who voluntarily left the Center for Mental Health. Nelly Shakhrai and Denis Antipin escaped on different days, reports the website infohub.kz.

Volunteers of the organization Lider.kz published on Instagram alerts for Denis Antipin and Nelly Shakhrai, who left the Almaty Center for Mental Health. According to the information, Nelly Shakhrai left the facility located in the Bostandyk district at about 9:00 a.m. on April 16. The alert states: "Height 167 cm, medium build, brown eyes, dark blond hair with gray, long, with rashes on the face. Clothing: dark blue velvet jacket, purple trousers, blue rubber slippers. Disoriented. Suffers from a mental disorder."

According to the volunteers, Denis Antipin escaped from the same center on May 13. The man is 180 cm tall, of medium build, with dark blond hair with gray, brown eyes, and a mole near his left eye. He was wearing a black vest, a white T-shirt, black trousers, and black flip-flops.

The volunteers appealed to residents of the city and region: "We ask residents of the city and region to pay special attention to the alerts and memorize the faces of the wanted persons. Please pay attention to streets, courtyards, entrances, bus stops, markets, train stations, public transport, and other places with large crowds. If you see people who resemble them, do not attempt to detain them or engage in conflict. Report the information to the phone numbers indicated in the alert, or to the police at 102."

The Department of Police of Almaty told a NUR.KZ correspondent that the information spread on social media concerns two separate cases of patients disappearing from the medical facility. "The man and the woman left the medical facility on different days and are not connected to each other. In both cases, the Police Department of the Bostandyk district has opened search cases. Currently, a set of operational and search measures is being carried out aimed at establishing the whereabouts of the citizens and returning them to the medical facility," the police stated.
