On the Semey — Ust-Kamenogorsk highway, patrol police officers saved the life of a five-year-old boy who suffered a deep cut to his leg. The child and his mother were urgently taken to the hospital in just 12 minutes, reports infohub.kz.
The boy's mother, a resident of the village of Granitny in the Zhanasemey district, panicked and approached the patrol officers. She said that her son, while playing in the yard, tried to climb onto the front door, but the glass in the door shattered and severely injured the child's leg. The bleeding wouldn't stop, and the woman didn't know what to do.
Patrol officers Yelaman Masalimov and Medet Smagulov, without wasting a minute, moved the mother and child into their car and, with sirens blaring, rushed to the hospital. Thanks to the officers' quick actions, the injured boy was taken to the medical facility in 12 minutes. In the emergency room, doctors were already waiting for the boy, and he was immediately taken into surgery.
"My child's leg wouldn't stop bleeding, and I was very scared. I didn't know what to do, and when I saw police officers on the road, I asked them for help. They immediately put us in their car and got us to the hospital in just 12 minutes. For me, that was enormous help at that moment. I sincerely thank the police officers," the mother of the injured child said.
Earlier it was reported that in Uralsk, police officers saved a four-year-old child from falling from the seventh floor.
