A Lexus RX 330 driver in the Pavlodar Region has earned a dubious distinction: since the start of the year, he has been caught 14 times by automated speed-enforcement cameras. The man was held accountable for repeatedly ignoring traffic rules, and the car's owner now faces a hefty sum in fines, infohub.kz reports.
According to the press service of the Pavlodar Region Police Department, about 133,000 speeding violations have been stopped in the region since the beginning of the year. The ZEREK 2 system, the Cyber Sheriff hardware and software complex, and Ekin Patrol G2 help identify offenders.
The Lexus RX 330 driver was caught in the crosshairs of these technical tools — his fast driving has resulted in multiple fines.
Police noted that the usual excuse for fans of fast driving is simple haste. "Drivers rush and try to save every minute to get to their destination faster. But remember: a few minutes saved are absolutely not worth risking your life and the lives of other road users," the Pavlodar Region Police Department urged.
