Infrastructure and residential buildings in the Uspen district of the Pavlodar region have been damaged by strong winds, reports infohub.kz.
In the villages of Konyrozek, Chistopol, Voznesenka, and Nadarovka (all part of the Konyrozek rural district), seven 10 kV power line poles were damaged. Specialists from the district power grids are carrying out restoration work. Ten workers and three pieces of equipment have been deployed, the district administration reported.
In the village of Konyrozek, wind tore off roofs from 12 private homes and the cultural center building. The extent of the damage is being assessed.
Preliminary reports indicate no casualties or injuries. Local executive authorities and emergency services personnel are on site, with a total of 27 workers and five pieces of equipment.
The village of Konyrozek is home to about 650 people, with 190 households. The situation is under control. Specialists are continuing to assess and repair the damage.
Kazhydromet has issued a storm warning for residents of Pavlodar for the next 24 hours. On the night of July 22, rain and thunderstorms are expected. During the day, precipitation will intensify, with possible hail and squalls. The wind will be westerly at 9–14 m/s, with gusts of 15–20 m/s, occasionally reaching 23–28 m/s.
