Police launched a pre-trial investigation after a video of the fight appeared online. According to the public page kerek.pv, one of the victims sustained serious injuries and is reportedly in the regional children's hospital with a broken nose.
The police department of Akmola region confirmed the attack and stated that a pre-trial investigation is underway. "All participants and witnesses have been identified and taken to the police station along with their legal representatives," police noted.
The case materials have been sent to the juvenile affairs commission, which will review the incident and take measures within its competence. "The investigation is ongoing," the department added.
Police reminded that such unlawful actions carry criminal liability under the law. Earlier, it was reported that a criminal case was also opened in Almaty over the beating of a minor, and police are conducting an investigation.
