In the Pavlodar region, nearly 4,000 people will receive one-time payments ahead of Victory Day, reports the website infohub.kz.
Currently, only seven participants of the Great Patriotic War live in the region (compared to 11 a year ago). They are allocated payments of 2 million tenge each, the same amount as last year.
Additionally, more than 3,800 citizens who are legally equivalent to war participants and disabled veterans, as well as home front workers, will receive one-time payments totaling 350 million tenge. The amounts range from 10 to 40 monthly calculation indices (MCI), said Almira Disyupova, head of the employment coordination and social programs department.
Last year in the Pavlodar region, a holiday was organized for veterans right outside their homes: songs from the war years were performed under their windows to avoid tiring the elderly.
