In Kazakhstan, when applying for a pension, an archive certificate confirming work experience may be required in some cases. Without this document, complications may arise, reports the website infohub.kz.
As explained in the state corporation "Government for Citizens," such a certificate is not necessary for all future pensioners. It is required if the work record book is missing or has become unusable.
In addition, an archive certificate will be needed if corrections are found in the work record book or if the information in it differs from other documents. In these cases, the certificate serves as confirmation of the accuracy of the data, the corporation noted.
If the work record book is preserved and raises no questions, then obtaining an archive certificate is not mandatory.
Earlier it was reported that in the first half of 2026, transfers of pension savings from the Unified Accumulative Pension Fund to insurance companies increased by 92.9% – to 292.8 billion tenge. The main driver was pension annuity contracts, which accounted for 63% of insurance premiums of life insurance companies.
