A resident of the Akmola region has not received her pension for two months due to an error in medical documents: she was mistakenly declared dead, reports infohub.kz.
Relatives of Tatyana Zhuravleva from the village of Petrovka, Sandyktau district, said the incident occurred at the multidisciplinary medical center of the Astana akimat. When processing the death of another person, the pensioner's IIN was mistakenly used, resulting in a death certificate being issued in her name.
After that, her pension payments were stopped. The family claims she has lost her only source of income and can no longer afford food, medicine, and other daily expenses.
The relatives have repeatedly tried to get the error corrected, but the issue remains unresolved. According to them, the medical institution either does not answer calls or asks them to wait.
The pensioner's family demands an official investigation to determine the causes of the error, hold those responsible accountable, and restore the woman's rights, including payment of pension arrears.
No official comments from the medical center or state bodies were available at the time of publication.
Earlier it was reported that in Taldykorgan, city polyclinic No. 2 mistakenly registered the death of a local resident instead of her mother. After that, the woman's bank accounts and individual entrepreneurship were blocked, and due to her deceased status, she could not even issue a power of attorney to a lawyer.
