Footage published on social media shows the prime minister walking with Transport Minister Dávid Vitézy. Suddenly, an unidentified man approached from behind and spat on the politician. The recording clearly captures the sound. The man then attempted to follow the prime minister but was stopped by security.
According to local media, Péter Magyar decided not to file a complaint. He stated that there is no need to be angry over the incident. Magyar called for support for people in whom 'hatred still remains,' noting that such cases are becoming rarer in Hungary and the country is moving toward a humane and functioning system.
