A story of systematic bullying is unfolding in Petropavlovsk, where the parents of a local school student say two classmates have been tormenting their son for four years. A video of the father talking to the boy, who is in tears, has appeared online, according to infohub.kz.
The footage was published by the Telegram channel "Letters to the President." In the video, the man asks his son, "What are you tired of?" The child names two schoolmates and, in hysterics, admits: "Because they always laugh at me. They mock me. With their laughter. Dad, they laugh at me because I'm fat. And they mock me. I'm just so tired of all of it."
The police department of the North Kazakhstan region told a NUR.KZ correspondent that an investigation is ongoing into the complaint from the parents of the Petropavlovsk schoolboy. "Juvenile police officers, together with the school administration, are establishing the circumstances of the situation and interviewing those involved. All relevant state agencies have been brought in. Based on the results of the investigation, a legal assessment will be given to the established facts. The situation is under the personal control of the leadership of the police department," the agency's press service said.
