A well-known street artist in Petropavlovsk, Stanislav Alert, has been handed a five-day administrative arrest for painting trash containers in a residential courtyard, the website infohub.kz reports.
According to the KTK television channel's website, the artist painted the message on the bins in order to film a video. Stanislav Alert posted the finished content on social media, where law enforcement officers spotted it.
He received five days' arrest for petty hooliganism. The report notes that even the fact that he immediately painted over the huge letters did not help him escape liability.
The story has caused a wide stir in the region: Stanislav Alert is known as a talented street artist who paints the facades of buildings and has designed many of the city's well-known sites.
In court, the man admitted his guilt. The artist promised to share the details of the story after his release.
"The trash bins had the words written on them: the inscription – KISS ME. This was done, essentially, for a video. I am a resident of a Berlin gallery. A qualified artist of world standing, at the moment my paintings hang in Berlin and in France, in Paris," Stanislav explained.
