A knife attack at a school in Poland has left a 37-year-old staff member dead and several others injured, according to infohub.kz.
The tragedy occurred on the morning of October 8 at a school in Leszydół-Nowiny, a village in the Masovian Voivodeship. RIA Novosti, citing a translation of a Polsat TV report, said a student attacked a school cleaner with a knife.
"A student attacked a school cleaner with a knife at a school in the village of Leszydół-Nowiny (Masovian Voivodeship). The incident occurred on Thursday morning," the report said.
Police immediately rushed to the scene. Three people were injured, including the school principal and the cleaner. One of the injured died.
"Despite resuscitation efforts, the life of the 37-year-old school employee could not be saved," the publication said.
The day before, seven people were reported injured after a knife attack at a school in the Polish town of Ostrołęka. Among the wounded were students and a female teacher.
