A pothole on a highway in the Atyrau region nearly ruined the trip for two Italian tourists. Police officers helped them continue their journey, reports website Polisia.kz.
On the evening of July 28, police officers Meirbek Mazhenov and Kumar Yeskendiruly were on duty at the 103rd kilometer of the Dossor–Kulsary–Beineu national highway. During patrol, they spotted a SUV with foreign license plates on the roadside.
It turned out the car had hit a pothole with its wheel, leaving the tourists unable to continue on their own.
The patrol officers did not just offer advice or call a tow truck. They personally took the damaged wheel to a tire repair shop in Kulsary, waited for the repair to finish, and then helped reinstall it on the vehicle. Thanks to them, the tourists were able to safely continue their journey across Kazakhstan.
The visitors from Italy thanked the officers for their responsiveness and professionalism, noting that such support far from home is especially valuable.
