In Uralsk, a police officer prevented a tragedy by noticing a small child near an open window on the fifth floor. The toddler, aged about 3-4 years, was spotted by vigilant residents of an apartment building on Zhangir Khan Street, reports the website infohub.kz.
Witnesses immediately reported the incident to a police officer. The local precinct inspector from the Shagan police department, Ubish Gaisin, arrived promptly. Seeing the child near the open window, the officer immediately moved him to a safe place.
During the investigation, it turned out that the child's mother had left home on errands, leaving him under the supervision of his 14-year-old brother. While the older brother was asleep, the toddler approached the open window and looked outside. Thanks to the quick and correct actions of the police officer, a threat to the child's life and health was avoided.
After the incident, a preventive conversation was held with the boy's parents. They were explained the requirements about the inadmissibility of leaving children unattended and the need to ensure their safety. The police also urge all parents to watch their children more carefully and not to allow situations where open windows can pose a danger to them.
