In Almaty, a police officer had to climb onto a sixth-floor balcony to rescue a small child who was in danger due to a family dispute, reports infohub.kz.

The Department of Police of Almaty reported on its Instagram account that neighbors had alerted them about a loud argument in an apartment of a multi-story building. When officers arrived, they couldn't enter through the door because no one opened it.

However, through the window, the officers saw a young child. The adults were bringing the child near the window, and the situation could spiral out of control at any moment. A patrol officer climbed to the seventh floor and descended via the balcony to the floor below. Once on the balcony, the officer entered the apartment and ensured the child's safety.

Later, it was discovered that the woman had hidden the keys to the front door. Rescue services also arrived at the scene and forced open the apartment door.

According to preliminary data, the woman was intoxicated. Another conflict had occurred between the cohabitants. Currently, an investigation is underway to establish all the circumstances of the incident, added the Almaty police department.
