Today, August 11, the second leg of the UEFA Champions League third qualifying round between Almaty's Kairat and Bulgaria's Levski will take place in Turkistan. Ahead of the game, police have issued a warning to football fans, reports infohub.kz.
According to the Telegram channel "News of the Ministry of Internal Affairs," law enforcement has stepped up measures to ensure public order and safety before the match, which will be held at the Turkistan Arena stadium. Police urge residents and guests of the city to maintain public order, be responsible for the safety of others, and comply with lawful police instructions.
"We ask fans coming to watch the football match to show mutual respect, refrain from provocative actions, maintain order in public places, and strictly follow established safety requirements," the police warned.
Recall that earlier, players of Bulgaria's Levski secured a home victory over Kazakhstan's Kairat in the UEFA Champions League 2026/27 season. The return match was scheduled for August 11 at the Turkistan Arena. Almaty's Central Stadium cannot host it due to a concert by American rapper Kanye West planned for August 14.
