More than 127,000 applicants have submitted applications for educational grants in Kazakhstan, 14,000 more than last year, reports infohub.kz.

The Ministry of Science and Higher Education noted that over 75,000 grants have been allocated for bachelor's degrees. Of these, 60% go to engineering fields, 20% to pedagogical, and the remaining 20% are distributed among other sectors based on labor market needs.

Engineering, manufacturing, and construction industries, as well as pedagogical sciences and information and communication technologies, have remained the most in-demand fields for several years.

The highest competition per grant spot is expected among future translators, diplomats, lawyers, psychologists, and teachers.
