Kazakhstan offers its citizens who have lost their jobs several forms of support, from help finding vacancies to social payments. This is reported by infohub.kz, citing the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population.

According to the ministry, Kazakh citizens can receive assistance in finding work, vocational training and placement in subsidized jobs. In addition, those who are entitled may receive a social payment in the event of job loss.

The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population has prepared a short guide on what to do if a person is left without work.

"The first step is to register as a person seeking work. This can be done at the career center at your place of residence, through the e-government portal or on the Enbek.kz portal. After registration, the career center will select vacancies taking into account the person's profession, work experience, qualifications, desired salary level and other conditions," the ministry said.

If no suitable work is available yet, the citizen will be registered as unemployed and offered additional employment measures. These include vocational training to obtain a new specialty, placement in subsidized jobs, and voluntary relocation to regions with employment opportunities.

"For citizens who have participated in the mandatory social insurance system and are entitled, a social payment is provided in the event of job loss. Its size depends on average monthly income and the length of participation in the mandatory social insurance system," the ministry specified.

Support does not end once a vacancy is found, the ministry notes. After employment, the career center continues to monitor the citizen's employment. The main task is not just to help a person find a job, but to ensure their return to stable employment.

The path to a new job therefore involves several consecutive stages: registration as a person seeking work, selection of vacancies, receipt of additional support measures if necessary, and subsequent employment.
