On July 15, several districts of Almaty experienced power outages. Alatau Zharyk Kompaniyasy JSC said the cause was technical faults in the electrical grids, reports 24.kz.
The company's press service explained that on July 15, technical faults occurred in various parts of the city, temporarily cutting power to some consumers. "The causes of the technical faults are being determined. Emergency response teams from Alatau Zharyk Kompaniyasy are working on site. Specialists are taking necessary steps to identify the causes and restore power to consumers as soon as possible," the press service said.
According to the company, at 15:50 consumers within the boundaries of Ryskulov Avenue, Zhandeldin, Bayanauyl, and Shemyakin streets were temporarily affected. At 15:55, consumers within the boundaries of Serikov, Omarov, Zhansugurov, and Artilleriyskaya streets lost power. At 16:45, the temporary restriction affected consumers within the boundaries of Pochtovaya, Bondarenko, Mussorgsky, and Griboyedov streets. At 16:55, consumers within the boundaries of Abay Avenue, Masanchi, Zhambyl, and Adi Sharipov streets lost power.
Earlier, the emergency situation map of Alatau Zharyk Kompaniyasy had indicated power outages in several Almaty districts. Later, power was restored in the Askar Tau and Yermensai microdistricts in the Bostandyk district. The temporary outage there was caused by a technical fault at consumer transformer substations.
