In Almaty, firefighters prevented the destruction of a warehouse storing expensive equipment — a fire broke out in the Turkseb district in the morning and was fought with the help of fire trains, reports infohub.kz.

The fire started in a warehouse complex on Suyumbai Avenue. According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, a single-story warehouse storing construction materials was burning. By the time the first emergency units arrived, there was an open flame.

An operational command post was set up to coordinate efforts. Firefighting units from the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the City Rescue Service, fire trains, a disaster medicine team, and other emergency services took part in extinguishing the blaze. To ensure an uninterrupted water supply, a fire truck convoy from the Ministry of Emergency Situations and a fire train from Kazakhstan Railways (KTZ) were deployed.

Thanks to the quick actions of all services, a significant portion of the stored goods was saved, and the fire was prevented from spreading to neighboring warehouses and nearby facilities, firefighters reported.

The fire has been fully extinguished. No casualties were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
