In Kyzylorda, the case of a prank simulating violence against a woman has been resolved. A young man who staged the elevator prank has been held administratively liable and fined, reports infohub.kz.
The incident occurred in one of the city's residential buildings. In the published footage, a man is seen roughly grabbing a female acquaintance, simulating an attack. At one point, another woman in the elevator intervenes and stops him.
The Kyzylorda Regional Police Department said the video was discovered during social media monitoring. Law enforcement determined that the participants' actions posed a threat to those around them. At the end of the clip, the participants themselves admitted that it was a prank.
A 20-year-old resident of Kyzylorda was brought to the police. By court decision, he was fined.
Police stressed that such "jokes" are unacceptable and urged citizens to maintain public order and treat others with respect.
