The Premier League’s official X account singled out Kazakh forward Dastan Satpayev after his debut for Chelsea, calling the young player “impressive,” reports infohub.kz.

The league’s post said Satpayev is making an impact during Chelsea’s pre-season. The Premier League’s official website also published a weekly review with a dedicated section on Satpayev’s first appearance. It notes that the player, who already has nine caps for Kazakhstan, could become the first Kazakh in Premier League history, although Chelsea is still considering his development. Head coach Xabi Alonso said: “We still have to make a decision.”

The writers compare the young talent to Sergio Aguero, who scored 184 goals for Manchester City. Alonso added: “He is a threat to the opponent. He is good as a forward, attacking from the flank. He is really strong, very fast, and I was very impressed with him.”

On July 28, Chelsea beat Australia’s Western Sydney Wanderers 6-4 in a friendly at Accor Stadium in Sydney. Satpayev started and opened the scoring in the seventh minute, netting his debut goal for the London club. The 17-year-old forward spent 63 minutes on the pitch before being substituted along with other first-team players.
