Teachers who earn the title "Best Teacher" will receive a prize of 4.3 million tenge. The government sets the amount and payment procedure, with the award equivalent to 1,000 times the monthly calculation index (MCI), according to infohub.kz.
The Ministry of Education of Kazakhstan clarified that since 2023, teachers who have trained winners and prize-winners of international olympiads, competitions and sports events receive a one-time bonus equal to three months' salary.
According to the ministry, 97 teachers have been awarded the honorary title "Qazaqstannyn enbek sinirgen ustazy" (Honored Teacher of Kazakhstan), and more than 800 teachers have won the republican contest "Best Teacher". Under the "1,000 Leaders of Change in Education" project, 983 teachers have been included in the personnel reserve from 2023 to 2026. Additionally, five teachers in Kazakhstan have been conferred the highest state title in education, "Enbek Eri" (Hero of Labor).
