The deployment of European contingents to Ukrainian territory would mean war with the Russian Federation. Russian President Vladimir Putin said this, NUR.KZ reports, citing RBC, according to infohub.kz.
According to the agency, citing the Kremlin press service, the Russian leader made the statement to journalists following the first day of a working visit to India.
"What are they (the European elites) pushing their peoples, their countries, toward now? Toward war with the Russian Federation? Now they are talking about how they are thinking about sending troops into Ukrainian territory. That means war with Russia," Vladimir Putin said.
The Russian president noted that European elites are frightening their populations with an imaginary threat from Russia that "does not and never did exist."
Earlier, the Russian Foreign Ministry said it was ready to strike British military facilities.
