QADAM park with arched fountain and parkour zone to open in Almaty by late October

A new QADAM park is set to open in Almaty's Auezov district by the end of October, with the 0.35-hectare public space taking shape on the site of a former parking lot at the intersection of Saina and Ulugbek streets, according to infohub.kz.

The grounds will feature a children's playground, a running track, skating and parkour areas, and walking spaces. A tactile alley with a variety of natural surfaces is also planned. One of the centerpieces will be an arched composition with a fountain, lighting and the inscription "A Step into the Future."

The site will also be landscaped. Construction work is currently ongoing.

"The QADAM concept is built on a combination of movement, different textures, sound, water and light. Following an inspection, Darkhan Satybaldy instructed that the approved schedule be observed and that quality be ensured at every stage of construction," the Almaty akimat said.

Earlier, Kursiv LifeStyle reported that an alley made from 250 kilograms of garbage had opened in Almaty. The new installation opened in Yuzhny Park ahead of World Environment Day.
