Kazakhstan's Prosecutor General's Office has announced the extradition of blogger Qaisar Kamza from Vietnam, who is suspected of aiding the organization of illegal gambling business, reports infohub.kz.
The agency published an official statement and a video showing the handover of the Kazakh citizen. Qaisar Kamza is known for his multi-million audience on Instagram — over 2.2 million followers.
According to the investigation, in January 2025, the blogger, using his significant influence on social networks and messengers, for a fee placed advertisements for an illegal online casino and attracted Kazakh citizens to participate in gambling. For promoting the resource, nearly 200,000 US dollars were transferred to his cryptocurrency wallet. Overall, members of the criminal group organized the activities of several illegal online casinos in Kazakhstan between 2021 and 2025 and illegally obtained over 106 billion tenge through payment terminals.
The Prosecutor General's Office also noted that nine accomplices are under arrest, while others are wanted. Currently, the suspect has been placed in a pre-trial detention center. The incriminated act carries a penalty of up to seven years in prison with confiscation of property.
Earlier, a wanted notice for Qaisar Kamza was published on the portal of legal statistics and special records. The initiator was the Agency for Financial Monitoring (AFM), and the search was conducted by the Department of Economic Investigations for Astana of the AFM. Later, the blogger commented on the information about the search, and the AFM stated suspicion of aiding illegal gambling activities.
It was established that for five years the suspect actively ran a blog on Instagram under the pseudonym "qais_arr" (2.4 million followers) and also administered a closed Telegram channel "Qora Entertainment" (368 thousand subscribers). On April 13, it became known about his detention in Vietnam, and in May he first got in touch with subscribers after a long time and told about what happened.
