Professor Marcy Logsdon of veterinary medicine at Washington State University commented on the famous raccoon's appearance in an interview with The Seattle Times. According to her, while a precise diagnosis from video footage is difficult, the animal's specific body structure is likely due to a congenital spinal malformation. Despite the physical peculiarities, she noted the raccoon's high quality of life. Logsdon emphasized that Jimothy's successful growth indicates excellent adaptation to the environment and ability to cope fully in the wild.
