From August 25 to 27, the weather in Kazakhstan will vary significantly by region: the north and east of the country will be hit by rain with thunderstorms, while the west and south will remain mostly dry, reports infohub.kz.

According to Kazhydromet, under the influence of a cyclone and associated atmospheric fronts, unstable weather is expected in the northern and eastern regions. There will be rain with thunderstorms, and in some areas heavy rain, hail, and squalls are possible.

In the mountainous areas of the east and southeast, the weather may change even more drastically: on the nights of August 26 and 27, rain turning to wet snow is possible there.

In the west and south, no precipitation is expected. These regions will be under the influence of high atmospheric pressure, so the weather is forecast to be mostly dry.

Despite the expected rain, temperatures will remain elevated across most of the country. The last days of summer will be mostly warm.

In the north, daytime temperatures will reach +25...+32 °C. In the central and southern regions, temperatures will be +25...+35 °C. In the east, warming is expected: if at the beginning of the period the air warms up to +16...+24 °C, then later the temperature will rise to +20...+31 °C.
