Ramzan Kadyrov, the head of the Chechen Republic, has been awarded the badge "Honorary Railway Worker." The ceremony took place today in Grozny as part of a celebratory event marking the naming of the Grozny railway station after Akhmad-Hadji Kadyrov, the first president of Chechnya, according to infohub.kz.
"For significant contribution to the development and achievement of high results in the activities of railway transport, the head of the Chechen Republic, Ramzan Akhmadovich Kadyrov, is awarded the badge 'Honorary Railway Worker of JSC Russian Railways,'" the event host read out.
It is worth noting that last week Ramzan Kadyrov was awarded the highest order of the Spiritual Assembly of Muslims of Russia — the Order named after the first mufti of Russia, Mukhamedzhan Khusainov, 1st degree.
Also recently, the Chechen leader received the rank of general of the Russian army and the maroon beret. And in September, Kadyrov won the election for head of Chechnya. It was reported that he has held this post since 2007, longer than any other regional head in Russia.
