On August 27, the premiere of Red Bull Ayaldama, a brand-new comedy show entirely in Kazakh, took place on Kinopoisk. In this project, comedians perform right on a moving bus, and viewers determine who continues the journey and who gets off, reports infohub.kz.
The organizers explain that the main rule of Red Bull Ayaldama is simple: if a joke isn't funny, viewers press the "against" button. Votes are tallied on a special scale, and when it fills up, the comedian is eliminated from the game—they're kicked off the bus for bad jokes. Only those who manage to keep the audience's attention and laughter make it to the final stop.
The project consists of six episodes, in which, among others, Ansagan Sadirkhanov, Shyngys Yermek, and Ruslan Tai will compete for the right to reach the final stop.
In addition to the best representatives of the Kazakh comedy scene, some episodes feature special guest passengers, including the group ALPHA and blogger Nurdaulet NNN.
Red Bull Ayaldama is a bold experiment with the usual stand-up format: here, the comedian cannot hide behind a stage or spotlight. They find themselves in the confined space of a bus, face to face with viewers who can mercilessly send them off at any moment.
A special feature of the project is its fully Kazakh-language format. All performances, jokes, and interactions between participants and viewers are in Kazakh, making Ayaldama a significant phenomenon for modern Kazakh-language comedy. All episodes are now available on Kinopoisk.
