Rinat Mukhametkali, who previously served as deputy akim of Kostanay region, has been appointed to a new position in the Administration of the President of Kazakhstan. The corresponding decree was signed by Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, reports the website infohub.kz.
As clarified by the presidential press service, Mukhametkali has been appointed as head of the general department of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Previously, since January 2025, he had been serving as head of the apparatus of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Rinat Mukhametkali was born in 1981. He graduated from Taraz State University named after Dulati with a degree in law. He began his career in 2002 in private and state organizations. From 2004 to 2009, he held various positions in the legislation department of the Ministry of Justice, including leading and chief specialist, deputy head of department, and head of department.
In 2009-2010, he was deputy director of the department for subordinate legislation of the Ministry of Justice. From 2010 to 2021, he worked in the Presidential Administration as an inspector, head of sector, and deputy head of the department for civil service and personnel policy. In 2021-2022, he headed the apparatus of the Agency for Civil Service Affairs, and in 2022-2023, he was head of the secretariat of the head of the Presidential Administration. From January 2023 until his move to the Ministry of Culture, he held the position of deputy akim of Kostanay region.
