Kazakh singer Rinat Shamshyrak has been charged under three articles after posting a video of his newborn son, according to the website infohub.kz.
The singer, who became a father several weeks ago, shared a clip on Instagram showing the baby lying on the front seat without a child restraint, while his wife posed in the back. Users criticized him for violating child transport rules.
The account Pro.pravo.kz on Threads called for punishment, tagging the Almaty Police Department: 'Take action for traffic violations and report the matter to child welfare authorities... Innocent children should not suffer in the pursuit of views!'
The Almaty Police Department stated that the driver and female passenger have been held administratively liable for transporting a child without a special restraint device, using a mobile phone while driving, and failing to wear seatbelts. The driver received a preventive talk.
